The building envelope is the same as conventional houses: 2×4 wall systems with premium spray foam insulation to keep you cool in the summer and warm and toasty in the winter. Utilizing heat pump technology for heating and cooling, your monthly operating costs will be a fraction of the cost of a RV. When you choose home appliances, they are less expensive and last longer.

Each city/town/municipality has their own unique bylaws. You can look up your local bylaws or ask at your local city hall. Some cities allow laneway housing or multiple dwellings on single titles. Rural properties sometimes rent space and campgrounds are also an option.

(up to 90% efficiency†) Lunos HRVs are an essential component of any air-sealed high-performance home, bringing fresh air while removing unwanted pollutants and humidity. The system is capable of exchanging heat and humidity. Thus, in the manner of an ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilator), it helps to maintain the relative humidity of the air inside the house.
